There simply aren’t enough superlatives to properly acknowledge the contribution Deep Purple has made to the history of rock. With over 100 million records sold and decades of sold-out shows around the world, it’s no surprise that the British station Planet Rock named them “the 5th most influential band of all time.” In 2008, they received the Legend Award at the World Music Awards and, in 2016, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Deep Purple are, without a doubt, true rock royalty.

With a career spanning seven decades, the band has been essential in the creation and evolution of hard rock, exploring new sonic territories without losing their identity and winning over generation after generation of fans. The legendary MKII lineup —Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore— was responsible for era-defining albums such as Machine Head or the monumental Made in Japan, considered one of the most influential live records of all time.

After guitarist Steve Morse’s departure in 2022, virtuoso Simon McBride joined the group, bringing new energy to the stage and revitalising their sound. In 2024, Deep Purple worked again with Ezrin on their new album, '=1 ', a work that evokes the band’s classic spirit without falling into nostalgia. Its title symbolizes a powerful idea: in an increasingly complex world, everything boils down to a unified essence — everything is one.

Now, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Don Airey and Simon McBride embark on a new world tour that will bring them back to Spain next summer, in a series of concerts that promise to be unforgettable. Among them, the show they will perform on July 5 at Navarra Arena in Pamplona.
